Androflor Screen allows to determine through a single sample the amount of total bacterial mass (14 microorganisms), opportunistic and true pathogenic microorganisms, as well as the presence and number of normal microflora in the male urogenital tract, using the most sensitive method Timerase PCR Chain Reaction), which enables the detection of even the minimum amount of microorganisms.

The most common causes of sexually transmitted infections and other infections of the urogenital tract are Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Chlamydia trachomatis, Trichomonas vaginalis, Mycoplasma genitalium, as well as the opportunistic microorganisms Ureaplasma urealytcum s, Candida urealytcum s, Candida.

Androflor Screen allows to determine through a single sample the amount of total bacterial mass (14 microorganisms), opportunistic and true pathogenic microorganisms, as well as the presence and number of normal microflora in the male urogenital tract, using the most sensitive method Timerase PCR Chain Reaction), which enables the detection of even the minimum amount of microorganisms.

This test is intended for all men who have any symptoms of infection or inflammation of the urogenital tract – burning after urination, frequent urination, inflammation of the urethra (the channel through which urine and semen are expelled), burning after ejaculation, inflammation of the prostate, the presence of white blood cells (leukocytes) in the semen, male sterility for unknown reasons, before urogenital tract interventions, balanoposthitis, as well as in men who have some symptom, and other tests do not detect any cause.

This test is also recommended for all couples before starting the IVF procedure.

Androflor screen is especially recommended for men who have had risky sexual contacts, unprotected intercourse, multiple sexual partners, as well as a relationship with a partner who has tested positive for a sexually transmitted infection.

A feature of a good health culture is that before starting sexual intercourse with a new partner, every man should be screened for sexually transmitted infections, in order to limit their spread and the consequences arising from undetected and untreated infections, and the consequences can be serious, even and lead to infertility.

Samples used for Androflor screen are: urethral swab, semen (ejaculate), urine, and results are obtained within 72 hours.
