Laparoscopic Hysterectomy for Uterus Above the Navel

At Plodnost Hospital, we continue to push the boundaries of minimally invasive surgery. In one of our latest cases, we successfully performed a laparoscopic hysterectomy on a patient whose uterus had expanded above the navel, comparable in size to a third-trimester pregnancy.
Clinical case: The patient presented with an extremely enlarged uterus positioned high in the abdomen. Traditionally, such cases require open surgery with extended hospitalisation and longer recovery time.
Our approach: Using advanced 3D laparoscopy, our surgical team was able to remove the uterus through several small incisions. This technology provides improved precision, depth perception, and significantly reduces trauma to the patient.
