GUIDELINES FOR PATIENTS
How to prepare for taking biological material:

for most laboratory blood tests it is necessary to take a sample in the morning (on an empty stomach) 12 hours after the last meal;
before taking blood, do not take drugs (in agreement with a doctor) and preparations that would affect the results;
to avoid intense physical activity 2 days before taking blood;
it is recommended that the time between taking the drug and taking blood for prothrombin time-PT be 12 hours. Intake of foods with increased content of vitamin K and intake of other drugs may affect the result;
for chemical examination of urine and sediment it is necessary to take the first morning urine in a clean container and in the shortest possible time (up to 2 hours) to bring it to the laboratory or to store it in the refrigerator until it arrives in the laboratory;
for analysis of 24 hour urine it is necessary to drink about 1.5-2 liters of water and to collect the wet urine in a clean container.
