Laparoscopic Treatment of Endometriosis: A Silent Problem, a Precise Solution
10 June 2025

Our team recently performed another minimally invasive laparoscopic procedure, this time for a 34 year old patient experiencing chronic pelvic pain and irregular menstrual cycles symptoms that are often overlooked and underestimated.
The patient had a long history of unsuccessful treatments, and the underlying cause was only discovered in the operating theatre. Through laparoscopy, we diagnosed widespread endometriosis throughout the abdominal cavity – a condition that remained undetected on previous ultrasound and MRI scans.
This case highlights once again the critical role of laparoscopy as the gold standard for diagnosing and treating complex gynecological conditions.
In addition to endometriosis, we also discovered unexpected adhesions – internal scar tissue causing organs to stick together which are rarely visible through non-invasive methods and often explain why previous therapies failed.
The procedure included:
-
Adhesiolysis (removal of adhesions)
-
Precise excision of several endometriotic lesions from the peritoneum
The patient will continue with a tailored six-month postoperative therapy plan in line with leading European protocols. We expect her to be discharged the following day with reduced pain and a significantly improved quality of life.
At Plodnost, each laparoscopic intervention is not just a surgical procedure, but part of a comprehensive women’s health strategy built on dedication, advanced technology, and expert teamwork.
