This year, Prim. Dr Tashe Trpchevski, founder and director of Plodnost Hospital, marks his 70th birthday—a milestone that represents not just a personal celebration, but a collective recognition of the values, vision, and legacy he has built over decades.
A pioneer who changed the face of medicine in Macedonia
Throughout his medical career, Dr Trpchevski introduced groundbreaking advancements in healthcare—from the first use of operative laparoscopy in 1995 to establishing the first IVF programme in Bitola in 2003. The results are impressive: over 8,000 IVF procedures, more than 3,000 families, and countless lives touched by his expertise.

“Last night we celebrated my 70th birthday. A jubilee filled with love, memories, and people who have marked my journey,” said Dr Trpchevski during his address.
“I feel blessed. I feel grateful. To everyone who came, who reached out, who celebrated with me, who made this day unforgettable with their presence.”
He shared a message that has long resonated with him:
“Life is like a train ride. People get on at different stations—some with good and honest intentions, others not so much. Some stay forever and become family. Others leave. But everyone leaves a trace. And so the train continues… to the next station and the next.”
Looking forward – with clarity and energy
The celebration was not only about looking back. Dr Trpchevski shared his unwavering commitment to the future:
“Professionally, there is no stopping. I still have dreams, ideas, and goals to accomplish in the next 10 years. Let’s prepare together for the next celebration—at 80. There is so much more to do and achieve by then.”
He also expressed his sincere thanks to the many patients and followers who shared birthday wishes through social media:
“This was a powerful reminder that when you give with love, life gives that love back. And for that, I am endlessly grateful.”
