]]> Laparoscopic removal of normal-sized uterus in under 30 minutes is already a routine procedure for us.
Our imperative are large uteruses reaching the navel, which we also remove laparoscopically, but the procedure is longer and lasts from 1.5 to 3 hours. In this particular case, the laparoscopic hysterectomy was performed in 25 minutes.
We will mobilize the patient tonight and she will leave the hospital on the second postoperative day.
The modern laparoscopic approach has reduced the hospitalization period, shortened patients’ recovery time and allowed them to return to work sooner.
